Haemolaelaps Berlese removed from synonomy with Androlaelaps Berlese (Acari: Laelapidae) .

چکیده

Comparison of species of Androlaelaps with all members of the Haemolaelaps marsupialis group show these to be two consistently distinct groups. Haemolaelaps is removed from synonomy with Androlaelaps and rediagnosed. A close relationship between Peramelaelaps Womersley and Haemolaelaps is proposed.

This paper reports on three species of mites of the genus Laelaspis in Iran - Laelaspis calidus Berlese from Pheidole pallidula, Laelaspis humeratus (Berlese) from Tetramorium caespitum and Laelaspis dariusi Joharchi & Jalaeian, sp. n. fromsoil. A new species of the genus Laelaspis Berlese, Laelaspis elongatus sp. n. is described based on adult female and male specimens collected in association with Pheidole pallidula (Nylander) (Hym., Formicidae) in Ahwaz, Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran, and also Acinopus (Acinopus) picipes (Olivier) (Col., Carabidae) in Bam, Kerman Province, southeastern Iran.
